Our Base Camp
Fuvahmulah is not your typical Maldivian postcard of shallow turquoise lagoons. It is a solitary, single-island atoll rising dramatically from the abyssal depths of the equatorial Indian Ocean. This unique geographical isolation and lack of a protective barrier reef mean the island's steep drop-offs are constantly bathed in nutrient-rich oceanic currents, transforming it into a magnet for the ocean's most formidable pelagic giants.
Globally recognized as one of the world's absolute best shark diving destinations, Fuvahmulah offers an unparalleled underwater theater. It is one of the few places on Earth where you can reliably dive face-to-face with apex Tiger Sharks at the legendary "Tiger Harbour." Beyond the Tigers, the island's plunging walls are a hunting ground for elusive Thresher Sharks whipping through the blue.
Every dive here is a wild card. With the deep ocean at our doorstep, we are constantly on the lookout for Oceanic Mantas gliding overhead, massive Whale Sharks cruising the reef edge, schooling Hammerheads, and even the bizarre Mola Mola. This is untamed, high-voltage deep-water exploration at its absolute finest—a place where the ocean's true power is always on display.
How Does Each Day Look Like?
Day 1
Arrival
(August 29th)
Arrive in Male, or if possible to Gan International airport in Addu city. We will then guide you to your domestic flight or the speed boat to Fuvahmulah. Once you are here, settle in and join the squad for a Welcome Dinner.
Day 2
Getting Started
(August 30th)
We begin with a single, dedicated check dive. This is crucial for dialing in your buoyancy, testing your equipment in the local currents, and getting comfortable before we head to the deeper, more challenging pelagic sites.
Day 3
The Hunt Begins
(August 31st)
A high-octane day featuring 1 dedicated Tiger Shark dive and 2 deep/reef dives. We might target Farikede for some pelagic action or scan the blue and the depths for Thresher Sharks. Flexibility is key as we follow the best currents.
Day 4
A Little Further
(September 1st)
We keep the momentum going with another 3-dive day. This includes your second Tiger Shark dive plus 2 more explorations (perhaps Rasge Fanno or Thoondi North, depending on yesterday's sightings and today's conditions).
Day 5
Early Dawn
(September 2nd)
We wake up early for one final morning dive (possibly at Neregando) to catch the reef waking up. The rest of the day is dedicated to off-gassing, exploring Fuvahmulah's Nature Park, or relaxing on the pebble beach.
Day 6
Is it a Goodbye?
(September 3rd)
Enjoy a final island breakfast before we transfer you to your preferred destination. Say goodbye to your new dive squad and make a promise to the ocean that you'll return soon. We leave as explorers committed to #DiveToProtect.

Meet Your Dive Trip Lead
Veda is the founder of Marine Quests and the person you’ll probably spend the most time during your dive trip with in and around the water. He’s a PADI MSDT Instructor and Tec Diver with over 1,000 dives, but more than anything, he’s someone who genuinely enjoys being underwater and sharing that experience with other people.
Over the years, diving has taken him through all kinds of environments, conditions, and adventures—some calm and effortless, others a little more challenging and unpredictable. That mix of experience shaped the way he teaches and guides today: relaxed, adaptable, and focused on making sure people actually enjoy the process instead of feeling rushed through it.
