Our Base Camp
Located in the heart of North Ari Atoll, Ukulhas is a beautiful local island surrounded by turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, and some of the most rewarding scuba diving in the Maldives. Known for its relaxed island atmosphere, strong connection to the ocean, and easy access to world-class dive sites, Ukulhas offers a unique chance to experience the Maldives beyond the typical resort setting—more connected, more local, and more real.
Just a short boat ride from the island, Ukulhas is home to some of the best Maldives dive sites, known for healthy coral reefs, exciting channel dives, drift diving, and incredible marine biodiversity. Divers here regularly encounter reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, schooling fish, and during the right season, even manta rays and whale sharks. Whether you're taking your first steps as a diver or building experience in the open ocean, the region offers conditions that are both exciting and unforgettable.
How Does Each Day Look Like?

Day 1
Arrival
(July 11th)
Start the day with a refreshing morning swim and snorkeling session to get comfortable in the water. In the afternoon, course students will dive into equipment checks and theory, while certified Fun Divers will gear up for their first shore check dive to dial in their buoyancy.
Day 2
Getting Started
(July 12th)
The action begins! Students will tackle 4 Confined Water Sessions (2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon) to master their scuba skills in the shallows. Meanwhile, Fun Divers will head out for two thrilling morning boat dives exploring the reefs of North Ari Atoll.
Day 3
Into the Water
(July 13th)
Students finish their last Confined Water and follow it up with their very first true Open Water dive in the morning, followed by another Open Water dive in the afternoon. Fun Divers will head out early for two more exhilarating morning boat dives in search of some big pelagic life.
Day 4
A little further
(July 14th)
Finally, everyone from the group unites on the boat today! Students will complete their final 2 Open Water Dives to earn their certification, while Fun Divers enjoy 2 epic dives alongside them. When the sun sets, Fun Divers plunge in for a magical Night Dive (this is an optional extra for our newly certified students!).
Day 5
The Real Deal
(July 15th)
A mandatory no-fly rest day, or a buffer to finish up any remaining course requirements if delayed by whatever reasons. Or, you can relax by the beach, explore the island, or book an extra excursion. At 7:00 PM, we'll gather for our official Debriefing Dinner to celebrate our week.
Day 6
Rest or Redo
(July 16th)
Enjoy a final island breakfast before preparing for your departures. Say goodbye to your new dive squad and make a promise to the ocean that you'll return soon. We leave as explorers committed to #DiveToProtect.

Meet Your Dive Trip Lead
Veda is the founder of Marine Quests and the person you’ll probably spend the most time during your dive trip with in and around the water. He’s a PADI MSDT Instructor and Tec Diver with over 1000 dives, but more than anything, he’s someone who genuinely enjoys being underwater and sharing that experience with other people.
Over the years, diving has taken him through all kinds of environments, conditions, and adventures—some calm and effortless, others a little more challenging and unpredictable. That mix of experience shaped the way he teaches and guides today: relaxed, adaptable, and focused on making sure people actually enjoy the process instead of feeling rushed through it.
